Elmridge has lined up an exciting team of pickleball coaches for 2025 who look forward to helping you improve your game. You will find many coaching options this year – including ‘almost free’ spring ‘tune-up clinics’, drop-in drills and private lessons. The bios of our coaches follow. You are always welcome to reach out to them directly for private lessons or to go to CourtReserve to see who is coaching which event (their names will be in the title of the events). Many coaching events are open to non-members (at a slightly higher rate) and sometimes just 24 hours before an event if there is still space.
Hiba Komati
NCCP Level 2 Instructor, Trilingual
Hiba’s pickleball journey kicked off in 2018 when she was instantly hooked by the sport’s fast pace and energy. What began as a personal passion soon turned into a lifelong pursuit, with endless hours spent on the court perfecting her skills. The thrill of competing, the friendly vibes with fellow players, and the joy of getting better have shaped her path through big tournaments like the US Open and Canada Nationals.
In 2024, Hiba took on new challenges in the competitive scene, winning several gold medals in
Canadian tournaments. She won three hard-earned medals at the Canada National Championship and snagged the Triple Crown at the Orleans Tennis and Pickleball Club Championship.
Now, as a coach, Hiba draws on over six years of advanced play and more than 3,000 hours of on-court experience to inspire her students. As a certified NCCP Level 2 instructor, she takes a well-rounded approach to training—sharpening technical skills, building mental toughness, and fostering strategic thinking and sportsmanship. Every session is tailored to help players boost their skills and confidence.

Denise Paquette
Level 1 NCCP pickleball coaching certification (Bilingual)
Denise has been playing pickleball for just two years, but in that short time, it has become a major part of her life. She’s now a self-proclaimed pickleball addict, playing twice a day, often 13 out of 14 days. She takes nearly every skills clinic she can find. Denise says that pickleball has truly been life-changing for her, and her goal is to share that passion with others.
As a retired teacher and passionate pickleball player, she brings a unique blend of education, leadership, and love for the sport to coaching others. Denise helps players find and organize games that match their skill levels and has established four skill-level leagues, ensuring players of all abilities have the chance to enjoy the game. Watching these leagues grow and seeing players of all levels connect and improve is what truly makes her heart sing.
As a newly certified coach, Denise wants to focus on beginners or those newer players looking to sharpen their skills. Denise aims to create an inviting, fun environment where players can build confidence and improve at their own pace.
Whether you’re brand new to the sport or looking to take your game to the next level, Denise will guide you on your pickleball journey. She knows that pickleball isn’t just a game—it’s a community, and she wants to help you be part of it!

Jarod Dobson
Level 1 NCCP pickleball coaching certification.
Jarod is a passionate and enthusiastic pickleball player who recently earned his Level 1 NCCP pickleball coaching certification. He progressed from a novice to a 4.0-level player in just two and a half years, gaining valuable experience and insights into the game along the way.
Jarod’s love for pickleball drives his commitment to coaching. He takes particular pride in helping newer players improve their technique, boost their confidence, and enjoy every moment on the court. His supportive approach and deep appreciation for the game make him a valuable resource for anyone looking to grow in pickleball.

Jeff Niles
Level 1 NCCP pickleball coaching certification
Jeff has many years of experience playing various racket sports, including pickleball since 2022.
His passion for the sport led him to join local pickleball organizations, compete in various tournaments, teach in different venues and launch his own leagues. He focuses on the technical aspects of the game.
Jeff believes in cultivating player development through strong communication skills, all within a fun and positive environment.

Gabriella and Shawn are a passionate coaching duo who discovered pickleball — and quickly fell in love with not just the sport, but the vibrant community that surrounds it. As PCI Level 1 certified instructors, they’ve taken their love for the game to the next level by helping players of all ages and varied skill levels grow their confidence, improve their technique, and find more joy on the court. Shawn is also both a DUPR certified rating coach and PCI certified rating assessor.
With a supportive and encouraging approach, they focus on fundamentals, smart strategy, and having a great time while learning. Whether you're just picking up a paddle for the first time or looking to sharpen your competitive edge, they’re here to help you level up.
